International Women’s Day

Join Yale’s Affinity Groups to celebrate International Women’s Day in various locations across campus on Tuesday, March 5th, from 11:30 am– 1:30 pm. Stop by a location near you to get a flower for yourself, or someone you know, to celebrate International Women’s Day. Suggested donation of $1 per flower is welcomed, while supplies last, to benefit Phenomenal I Am. The Living Earth Show & Samuel Adams present 'Lyra'

Deemed one of the “22 for ’22 performers to watch” (Washington Post), The Living Earth Show presents multimedia productions featuring music, movement and visual art. New Haven will experience the group’s collaboration with composer Samuel Adams ’10MM in Lyra, a program of live music, film, and dance, on Tuesday, February 27.

Mondays at Beinecke: From that Time and Place - Celebrating Felice Picano and Andrew Holleran on Their 80th Birthdays

Join us for a special Mondays at Beinecke online conversation featuring Felice Picano (The Lure, A House on the Ocean, a House on the Bay) and Andrew Holleran, (Dancer from the Dance, The Kingdom of Sand) reflecting on the first full flowering of gay male literature in the 1970s and 1980s they helped create, drawing on their diaries and letters and manuscripts on deposit at the Beinecke, to explore how their works took shape – and helped shape the era of literary and political liberation after Stonewall and into the early years of the AIDS epidemic and beyond.

Join Yale’s Affinity Groups and the New Haven Hiring Initiative for an interactive workshop on how to elevate your career. We will be joined by Alexis Willoughby-Robinson, who will participate in a moderated discussion with Jessica Barajas, about her 20-year career journey.

Following the discussion, Alina Colossale will provide an overview of the individual development plan, job crafting, networking, and resources available at Yale.

The New Haven Free Public Library’s Children’s Authors and Illustrators series continues! Join Coach Tanisha Marie on Thriving Thursday for a financial wellness book read. There will be a discussion on how wealth is built from childhood and how children can start creating their own income from home. Attendees will learn the importance of self love, being happy, investing, saving, and ownership; and will leave with a clear picture of what steps to take to start building wealth today.
