The LGBTQ Affinity Group is heartbroken and angry. In the last few weeks, we have witnessed acts of senseless violence against black Americans and peaceful protesters. It is unsettling, but it is unsurprising. This violence is not new.
We stand in solidarity with protesters around the country who are working to end state-sanctioned violence against black lives. We believe that black lives matter - and we reaffirm our commitment to making Yale a safer place for our black colleagues.
