Join Yale’s Affinity Groups to celebrate International Women’s Day in various locations across campus on Tuesday, March 5th, from 11:30 am– 1:30 pm. Stop by a location near you to get a flower for yourself, or someone you know, to celebrate International Women’s Day. Suggested donation of $1 per flower is welcomed, while supplies last, to benefit Phenomenal I Am. International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women - while also marking a call to action for accelerating gender equality.
This year’s theme is #InspireInclusion. For International Women’s Day 2024 and beyond, let’s Inspire Inclusion. When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there’s a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. The aim of the IWD 2024 #InspireInclusion campaign is to collectively forge a more inclusive world for women.
We are looking for volunteers for all eight locations, so please sign up to help at a location near you.
Working from home or can’t get to campus on March 5th? You can still participate by striking the #InspireInclusion pose to show solidarity, downloading a web media background, downloading IWD social media selfie cards, adding an IWD advocacy signature block to your emails, or taking a photo of yourself holding up a #InspireInclusion pledge card.
