Launched in 2009, the global Yale Day of Service is an annual event in which Yale and the greater community work together to make a difference. Come help us with spring garden preparation in Common Ground’s urban farm: spreading compost, turning beds, transplanting, seeding and other chores. Click here to RSVP.
Common Ground’s mission is to cultivate habits of healthy living and sustainable environmental practices within a diverse community of young people, adults, and families – through an environmental charter high school, an urban farm, and community programs.
Wear closed-toed, sturdy shoes, and dress for weather and for outdoor work which may be strenuous. Gloves and tools provided. Supervised children 9 and up welcome.
